Whole museum consists of a museum building exhibiting uranium glasses and a glass making building where glasses are
made and visitors can experience glass making. Those buildings are connected by a corridor. Therefore, after appreciating
historical glasses, visitors can access the place where glasses are actually made. Senery of glass making can be
observed from a glass work studying space on the 2nd floor. In addition, visitors can experience glass making by themselves.
In the exhibition room of the Fairywood Glass Museum, there are exhibited a
uranium glass milkpitcher made in1840 which is known as the oldest uranium glass
in the world with known fabrication year. In addition there are exhibited avase made
by Emile Gallé, wine glasses, necklaces, and etc. produced since the 19th Century.
The visitors can enjoy beauty of shapes as well as mysterious shine of
flourescence when glasses are illuminated with Ultra Violet light.

The art shop sells original goods such

very unique "Fairywood glass".
Also, other glasses by artists in Japan
and other countries as well as goods
of fairy are available. Thus, the shop
has a little different features from
those of the other ordinary museum
